Thursday and Friday’s MotoVid.com track day events managed to skirt most of the nasty weather in the forecast, though they were super hot and steamy. Bryan spent his time CRing and coaching the Sport Riding 101 clinic, while Tyne’ was able to spend some time getting herself up to speed for the weekend’s CCS races.
Saturday’s races saw clear skies with more heat. Tyne’ finished 7th in Amateur Lightweight Supersport and 6th in Amateur Lightweight Grand Prix. A best lap of 1:29.8 on the weekend marked a return to her form prior to breaking her toe last year, making this an exciting weekend for her return to racing.
Bryan finished 5th in Expert Lightweight Supersport and 6th in Expert Lightweight Grand Prix, turning a new personal best lap of 1:20.5 — only half a second away from his season goal of breaking into the teens at Blackhawk on the SV. Lightweight Grand Prix unfortunately ended a few corners early for him, with a monster high side on the last lap in turn 3. Bryan is totally fine, but the bike is going to need a fair bit of work to get back to working order.
Huge thanks to all our 2017 sponsors — none of this would be possible without them!
